100 Weeks to go at Botanic Place

A quick glance at the programme shows a neat marker for the team at Botanic Place - 100 weeks to go.

While not a formal milestone, it’s a useful moment to reflect on the steady progress being made on site in Cambridge as the building continues to rise next to Cambridge University Botanic Garden.

Botanic Place is set to provide best-in-class workspace in one of the UK’s leading business hubs, Railpen’s Cambridge Innovation Cluster. Construction is advancing well, and the scale and quality of the scheme is becoming increasingly visible.

This marker also follows the recent announcement that Botanic Place achieved a UK-first 100% BREEAM Outstanding Design Stage score, underlining the project’s environmental ambition alongside its architectural presence.

Over the coming months, the focus remains on:

• Completing the basement structure and commencement of works above ground with the stunning façade panels starting to be installed in April.
• Having given The Flying Pig pub a set of sturdy new foundations, it remains braced and ready for the works to main structure of the pub.
• A launch of the marketing campaign in June, where there will be a shiny new website with plenty of information as well as some exciting new announcements.

With just under two years to go, the team remains focused on delivering a highly sustainable, future-facing workplace for Cambridge.
