Liam selected to join the Social Value UK Advisory Board

As Head of Engagement at Socius, Liam Ronan-Chlond is involved in every one of our impactful projects, leading on social value and ensuring that we reach communities and stakeholders in the towns and cities that we work.

The Social Value UK Advisory Board is a group of experts who provide guidance and support with growing the Social Value movement.

As a national network for anyone interested in social value and social impact, Social Value UK works with its members to increase the accounting, measuring and managing of social value from the perspective of those affected by an organisation’s activities, through its Social Value Principles. It believes in a world where a broader definition of value will change decision making and ultimately decrease inequality and environmental degradation.

Liam is looking forward to joining his first MemEx Conference as an Advisory Board member, this September.

The conference is an opportunity for members to lead on and share social value practice amongst peers, as well as those interested in social value. To find out more and register to attend, click here

Commenting on Liam's recent appointment, Lizzie Carline, Membership Manager of the Social Value UK said: “We had an overwhelming response from those interested in joining this year’s Advisory Board and were encouraged by the number of people who want to stand by our sides to advance the social value movement and support our work, from technical development to advocacy.

“Due to the high-quality of submissions, we took our time to mindfully consider who we could offer a council position to. The limited spaces available meant that selection was based on a range of criteria ensuring wide representation, knowledge-base and diversity across the board.”

Liam told us: “I am proud to have been selected among such a high-calibre of applications and look forward to working with Advisory Board members to support a change in the perception of value and create an ethos that encourages improved wellbeing, equality, diversity and considers the impacts of the decisions we all make on the environment.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the MemEx Conference, which will present current social value practice and highlight the most important directions for the movement to progress.”
