Throughout the 2024/25 academic year, Socius, Populate and our investment partner for The London Cancer Hub, Aviva Capital Partners have supported ULI UrbanPlan to inspire students to discover a career in the built environment, whatever their background.
The programme has delivered a tour of over 30 schools across the UK, with workshops for 805 students to learn about the forces that affect urban regeneration.
Feedback from the two Sutton-based schools that directly benefited from our support, Overton Grange School and Harris Academy Sutton, reported that students enjoyed the energy of the sessions, working independently and in teams and that they gained insight into careers, developed skills and learned something new.
When asked what students enjoyed most about their experience with UrbanPlan, one said: “Trying something new and discovering the building industry.”
