Cambridge project partners showcase sustainable careers at ‘Green Skills Fair’

Representing our projects with Railpen in Cambridge, we were recently joined at the first-ever ‘Green Skills Fair’ at Long Road Sixth Form College, by our partners Hoare Lea, Bioregional, LDA Design and RHP Group, to provide students with insight and inspiration into green jobs.

Forming part of Green Careers Week, Long Road Sixth Form College invited us to take part in this important opportunity for young people to see the green jobs that are out there and how these roles are helping contribute to saving the planet from climate change.

With plenty of products to experience on our stand – from bricks and badges to physical models and VR headsets – we enjoyed lots of interesting discussions with students, who were keen to learn more about our diverse range of sustainable skills and expertise.

Liam Ronan-Chlond, Head of Engagement and Social Value at Socius explains: “On each of our development projects, we recommend that our consultants and professional teams commit to impactful initiatives, and we work with them to help fulfil these social value commitments.

“The ‘Green Skills Fair’ at Long Road Sixth Form College was a great opportunity for us to work with partners to deliver on these ambitions and hopefully to inspire some of the students to become the sustainable engineers, designers and green consultants of the future!”
