Socius welcomes University of Cambridge masters’ students to Edward Street Quarter

As an impactful developer, we fundamentally believe that development is more than just a building. We feel it is our responsibility to encourage people to take an interest in the real estate sector, and we’re always keen to demonstrate how, collectively as an industry, we can help to create positive social impact.

This commitment has seen us deliver a number of visits to schools and universities, and last month we were excited to welcome Executive Director of Cambridge Real Estate Research Centre, Nick Mansley and his real estate masters’ students from the University of Cambridge to our award-winning Edward Street Quarter project.

Managing Director of Socius, Barry Jessup provided some insight into the process of delivering a scheme on this scale and was on hand to answer questions and hear their feedback, some of which we’ll be taking on board for our future projects.

ESQ Cambridge Visit

Reflecting on the visit, Barry said: “It was a very exciting afternoon that we spent with the students from the University of Cambridge, there were a lot of searching questions and some great ideas that we can take forward.

“We really enjoyed sharing the experiences of our work on the Edward Street Quarter scheme over the past five years and really appreciated the input from the real estate masters’ students and some challenges from them to ensure that our next scheme is even better.”
